This policy describes how Notely (“we”, “us”) handles your information when you use Notely on notely.chat or through the ChatGPT app.

Data we collect

  • Account identifiers — your email address, collected by our authentication provider when you sign in or connect the app.
  • Your notes — the notes and checklists you create and save in Notely: their titles, text, checklist items, and labels.
  • Usage data — which features and tools are invoked, how long they take, and whether they succeed, tied to a pseudonymous user id.
  • Technical logs — server logs (timestamps, request metadata, error details) kept for reliability and security.

Why we collect it

  • To provide and operate Notely — storing and returning your content.
  • To maintain your account and keep your data scoped to you.
  • To fix errors and improve reliability and performance.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who receives it (service providers)

  • Stytch — authentication and account connection.
  • Google Cloud (Firebase) — data storage.
  • PostHog — product usage analytics.
  • Vercel — hosting and server infrastructure.
  • OpenAI — when you use Notely inside ChatGPT, your prompts and the app’s responses are processed by OpenAI under their own terms and privacy policy.

Security & use of your notes

Your notes are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Note content is never used to train AI models or for advertising, and is never sold. Analytics are limited to aggregate, content-free usage metrics (which tools run, how long they take, whether they succeed) and never include the content of your notes.

Retention

We keep your content and account data for as long as your account is active. Technical logs are retained for a limited period for debugging and security. When you delete your account (or ask us to), we delete your content and account data within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with law.

Your controls

  • Delete your account & data yourself — visit your account page to permanently erase your Notely account and every note. It takes effect immediately.
  • Access / export / delete by request — email hi@sponja.ai and we will act on your request within 30 days.
  • Disconnect — you can revoke Notely’s access at any time from ChatGPT’s settings (Apps & Connectors); this immediately stops new data flowing to us.
